White WinesHouse WhiteMarques de Calado Macabeo, Refreshing and juicy, this is a great ‘anytime’ wine which is fantastic on its own or with food. Bantry Bay Chenin Blanc, An aromatic wine with hints of tropical and citrus fruit on the nose and tastes of pineapple and pears on the palate backed up with a firm acidity. Five Foot Track Chardonnay, A nose of citrus fruits and ripe apples with underlying notes of vanilla. Crisp lemon and lime on the palate, served up with a rounded and buttery feel. Vina Carrasco Sauvignon, Thoroughly citrusy on the nose with fresh lime and lemon forming the aromatic backdrop. More citrus on the palate, accompanied by a riper hint of pineapple, and mouth-watering acidity. Chemin Des Dames Demi Sec, A medium dry wine, offering a fresh aromatic bouquet followed by honeydew melon fruit and an attractive sweetness, with good balancing acidity. Malandrino Pinot Grigio, The pale hue of the wine gives way to hints of perfume, pears, stone fruit and lime as well as the occasional floral note. Fresh and vibrant acidity results in a light, easy drinking wine. Fathoms Sauvignon Blanc, Typical of a Marlborough Sauvignon, the bouquet springs from the glass offering plumes of citrus, green grass and elderflower. The palate is a burst of crisp grapefruit and gooseberry flavours. Saint Desir Sauvignon Blanc, Bright yellow in colour with astonishing aromas of tropical fruit flavours and peach on the nose. The smoothness and intense flavours are held by a zesty, refreshing acidity in the mouth. Gavi La Lancellotta, A great expression of Gavi. A light wine with steely minerality. Hints of apple, peach and apricot flavours with a refreshing grapefruit and lime character. Chablis Jacques Descharmes, Lively and fresh with clean citrus aromas. Crisp, fruity and steely dry on the palate. The finish is long and lean. Sancerre Vieilles Vignes, Domaine Paul Cherrier et Fils, This wine exhibits classic passionfruit and mineral characters coupled with a racy acidity, giving excellent balance and structure. |
Red WinesHouse RedsMarques de Calado Tempranillo Classic Tempranillo notes of dark cherry and blackcurrant are lifted by a hint of dried flowers and spice. Superbly balanced, the fruits of the forest flavours are perfectly complemented by soft tannins. Montepulciano d’Abruzzo This is a good quality, medium-bodied wine with lots of red cherry fruit and soft supple tannins. Five Foot Track Shiraz, A medium weight red, with a pleasing balance between ripe fruit and savoury, earthy notes on the nose. The palate is succulent and mouth-filling, with lashings of red berry and brambles. Flor del Fuego Cabernet Fruity flavours of plum and blackcurrant with a cassis-like concentration. Lifted by subtle green pepper savoury tinges and easy-going tannins. Aires Andinos Malbec Deep ruby coloured with smoky black fruits of cassis, blackberry and spice. The concentration of the wine performs well above its price point with soft tannins and a long finish. Casale di Valle Chianti, DOCG, Bright ruby red in colour with good density and persistant legs. Aromas of cherry and fresh red fruits mingle with spicy pepper notes. Lively and supple on the palate with fine rounded tannins. Pavillion des Trois Arches Merlot, Pays d’Oc Deep ruby red in colour with aromas of berries and sweet spice. The pallet is smooth and rich with a depth of flavour that continues in the mouth. San Millan Rioja Crianza, Red cherry colour of medium intensity with violet hues. Direct and fresh nose. Aromas of ripe red fruits with a subtle floral bouquet and notes of cinnamon and clove. In mouth soft but with body and structure. Waimea Estate Pinot Noir An elegant nose of black cherry, rose petal, cranberry and subtle oak with hints of spice. A medium bodied wine with luscious dark cherry, blossom fruits and silky soft tannins. Châteauneuf-du-Pape ‘Cuvée des Antiques’, This wine is dark ruby with a complex nose of spices and hints of pear. A smooth and lingering finish. |
Rosé WinesHouse RoséBois des Violettes Rosé, Pays d’Oc, A fresh salmon-pink rosé giving delicious strawberry, cherry fruits on the palate. A fantastic balance between the acidity and fruit characters results in an off-dry rosé. Torre Alta Pinot Grigio Rosé This wine shows why Rosé is so popular. Beautiful soft strawberry flavours with floral notes with a refreshing zing on the palate. |
Sparkling WineProsecco Corte Alta NV, DOC Delicate and aromatic with a light body and fine bubbles, this wine carries lots of fresh peach, pear, apricot and apple with a revitalising finish. Raboso Rosado Corte Alta NV, DOC The little-known Raboso grape is essentially the sister grape of the white Prosecco, and is here used to make a similarly delicate and appealing sparkling wine. |
ChampagneHouse ChampagneDe Telmont Grand Reserve NV, One of the few remaining, family owned Champagne houses, De Telmont produces this excellent non-vintage in a medium bodied, soft and fruity, classically yeasty style. Fabulous value. Perrier-Jouët Grand Brut NV, Produced in the Epernay region of Champagne, and dating back to 1811, Perrier-Jouët consistently produces excellent Champagnes. A lovely weight of soft apple fruit and an easy drinking and well balanced style that make it extrememy popular. Moët & Chandon Brut Imperial NV, Perhaps the best known Champagne. The Brut Imperial from Moët embodies their house style: crisp and clean, this classic Champagne shows citrus aromas and hints of biscuity flavours. An excellent aperitif. Moët & Chandon Rose NV, With pink copper hues and a lively expressive aroma this is an elegant and zesty wine with notes of wild strawberry. |
